In the early days, Reguera began taking classes in classic ballet. After her class, she later began her performance arts studies at Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura. After performing, she left Veracruz to study at Televisa's CEA. Later, she studied in Spain and then in Los Angeles. After a while, she became a Mondial actress. 

Her acting career began in the year 1996 when she played her role in the telenovela Azul. In 2014, she was cast in the Netflix drama Narcos. This was a crime drama.

Her breakthrough movie was Collisions.
