Mollà began his career in 1987 with an episode of the TV series El Viatge. He went on to star in the 1992 film Shooting Elizabeth and appearances on the TV series La Granja, Menjars Casolans (1989-1991), Un dels últims vespres de carnaval (1991), and Dark Justice (1992).

Finally, Jordi Mollà landed her breakthrough role as José Luis in the film Jamón, jamón (1992). In his home country, he portrayed characters in the films Stories from the Kronen (1995), La Celestina (1996), The Lucky Star (1997), The Stolen Years (1998), Second Skin (1999), and El cónsul de Sodoma (2008).
