Lindsey McKeon is an actress by profession and an American by nationality. She is well known for starring in Guiding Light as Marah Lewis, in One Tree Hill as Taylor James, and in Saved by the Bell: The New Class as Katie Peterson.

Lindsey McKeon’s birth took place on March 11, 1982, in Summit, New Jersey, USA. She was born Lindsey Johnson McKeon to her father Ben McKeon and her mother Jane Johnson. Ben was diagnosed with throat cancer in mid-July 2019 and underwent treatment, while Jane went missing in January 2020, and her body was later found in a wooded area.

McKeon's parents are divorced, and she often features them on her social media. She also has a half-sibling, a younger half-sister from her father’s side.

Lindsey McKeon graduated from John Burroughs High School the same year as her character Katie Peterson of Saved by the Bell: The New Class.

McKeon was in a relationship with Scott Ashley Sterling, the son of American attorney and businessman Donald Sterling. The day she broke up with her boyfriend, a fight erupted between Scott and his friend Philip Scheid. Scott had thought Philip was trying to steal Lindsey McKeon, which resulted in Philip being shot by Scott with a shotgun.

McKeon went on to date Brant Hively and married her longtime boyfriend on September 23, 2013, in a small, intimate outdoor ceremony. She and her husband have two children together - daughters Reese and Isla. There has been no news of divorce.

Lindsey McKeon – Career

Early Days

McKeon began her career at the age of 12 after her mother’s agent suggested she take an acting class. After joining the acting class, she discovered a love for acting. Lindsey McKeon appeared as a guest in a 1995 episode of Boy Meets World as Libby Harper. 

The very next year, she was cast as Katie Peterson, the main character in the TV series Saved by the Bell: The New Class. She portrayed the character until 2000, for a total of 78 episodes. This is her breakthrough role.

Over the years, Lindsey McKeon has starred in a number of films, including Shredder (2003), What Doesn’t Kill You (2008), The Land That Time Forgot (2009), Indigenous (2014), Flock of dudes (2014), The 420 Movie (2020), and Devoted Heart (2025). 

She played the main role in the short-lived TV series Opposite Sex (2000) as Stella, and in Guiding Light (2001-2004) as Marah Lewis. 

McKeon also has had recurring roles in One Tree Hill (2005, 2010) as Taylor Janes, Supernatural (2006-2014) as Tessa the Reaper / Azazel, and Training Day (2017). Moreover, she has been actively working in numerous TV movies – Class Warfare (2001), Airline Disaster (2010), Girlfriends of Christmas Past (2016), and Lifetime’s Psycho Party Planner (2020), among others.
