Who is Yungblud?

Yungblud, born Dominic Richard Harrison and stylized as YUNGBLUD, is a professional singer, songwriter, actor, and English national. As of early 2020, he has released two EPs- Yungblud, The Underrated Youth, and his debut album 21st Century Liability.

Yungblud – Birth, Parents, Siblings

Yungblud’s birth took place on 5 August 1997 in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England. He was born Dominic Richard Harrison to his mother, Samantha Harrison, and his father, Justin Harrison. 

He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings – younger sisters Jemima Harrison and Isabella Harrison.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Yungblud attended Arts Educational Schools in London but dropped out at age 16.

He is of English ethnicity.

Mental Health

In the February 2020 interview with The Evening Standard, he admitted that he had attempted suicide twice. He further revealed that the attempts were fueled after his mother almost lost her life in a car accident, his fast rise to fame, and his “very public” relationship, as well as his breakup with American singer Halsey.

Yungblud – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce

Yungblud was in a relationship with American singer Halsey. It was in late 2018 when she “slid into his DMs”. The pair soon started dating and went public with their relationship in early 2019. Yungblud and his girlfriend (now ex) frequently featured each other on their romantic posts as well as collaborated on the song 11 Minutes.

However, after months of dating, they broke up in September 2019. The breakup went public after fans noticed that Halsey had moved on with actor Evan Peters.

Yungblud went on to date singer Jesse Jo Stark and made their relationship public in April 2021. They broke up before eventually getting back together in August 2025. He is yet to marry and take a wife or have children. Also, he has never been divorced.

Yungblud – Career

Early Days, Films

Like his grandfather, Rick Harrison, who performed with T. Rex in the 1970s, Yungblud also took to music. He began learning to play guitar, piano, and drums from a young age. He started writing music at age 11, which he played to his mother. He played in a band when he was 12 and performed on stage.

As an actor, Yungblud has had guest appearances in an episode of Emmerdale (2015) and six episodes of The Lodge (2016).

Singles, Albums, EPs

Harrison released his debut single King Charles on April 7, 2017, followed by singles I Love You Will You Marry Me, and Tin Pan Boy. Finally, on 13 January 2018, he released his debut EP YUNGBLUD, which also contained previously released singles.

Since then, Yungblud released a studio album, 21st Century Liability (released 6 July 2018), and two EPs: Yungblud (Unplugged) (released 10 August 2018), The Underrated Youth (released 18 October 2019). His live album Yungblud (Live in Atlanta) was released on 21 March 2019.
