Avril Lavigne, Mod Sun split end their engagement

Avril Lavigne and fiancé Mod Sun have called off their engagement.

Although the Complicated singer’s representatives confirmed the breakup, the split appears to be news to 35-year-old Mod Sun.

“They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him. The show will happen tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour,” the Mod Sun’s representative shared.

The rocker is currently still touring and has plans to continue his work.

Lavigne, 38, and Mod Sun reportedly had relationship issues in recent months and had broken up, and made up a few times. It seems as if the former couple has finally ended their relationship.

They had gotten engaged in March 2022 after Mod Sun proposed to the singer after more than a year of dating.

Soon after, Lavigne shared the news of their proposal, “Yes! I love you forever. Sunday March 27, 2022. love u so much! Forever n ever my angel.”

The news comes just days after Lavigne was spotted getting cozy with 33-year-old rapper Tyga in Malibu, California at Nobu. They were pictured hugging which has sparked rumors that they are in fact dating.

Moreover, TMZ reported that Lavigne and Tyga have been spending a lot of time together.
