Ali Stroker is a singer, and actress by profession, and American by nationality. She was a finalist in season 2 of The Glee Project and has appeared in Glee, Spring Awakening, Oklahoma!. She became the first disabled person to win a Tony Award.

Ali Stroker’s birth took place on June 16, 1987, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, USA. She was born Alyson Mackenzie Stroker to his father Jim Stroker and his mother Jody Schleicher.
She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings- older brother Jake and younger sister Tory. All were raised in Ridgewood.

Stroker was educated at Ridgewood High School. She starred in school musicals and was a senior class president in her high school. She then enrolled at New York University Tisch Drama Department and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Fine Arts.

When Ali Stroker was two years old, a tragedy struck her. She was in a car accident that resulted in a spinal cord injury and left her paralyzed from the chest down.

Before Fame
Stroker first saw a Broadway show at the age of 7 and decided that she wanted to become an actress. She trained at the Paper Mill Playhouse with the Summer Musical Theater Conservatory program.
Ali Stroker went on to perform at Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and in the production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.
Professional Career
Ali Stroker began her professional career in 2011. She landed a minor role in the short film I Was a Mermaid and Now I'm a Pop Star. Her breakthrough role came in 2012 when she starred in the reality TV series The Glee Project. She reached the finals but was unable to win.
Since then she has had appearances in the TV series Glee (2013), Faking It (2014-2015), Ten Days in the Valley (2017), Lethal Weapon (2018), Drunk History (2018), and Instinct (2018).
Stroker is also known for her work in theatre. She portrayed Anna in the theatre play Spring Awakening (2015-2016), and in Oklahoma! (2018-2019) as Ado Annie. Outside of acting, she holds the national record in wheelchair racing and sings in Mezzo-Soprano.
