Andrea Brooks is an actress, model by profession, and Canadian by nationality. She is best known for starring in the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart as Faith Carter and in Supergirl as Eve Teschmacher.

Andrea Brooks’ birth took place on March 3, 1989, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. She was born Andrea Katherine Brooks to her mother Leslie Brooks, a former skater who became a trainer while the identity of her father is not shared with the public. 

She is not the only child of her parents and has a sibling, a younger brother named Matt Brooks.

Growing up she was trained in skating, dancing as well as musical theatre. She was greatly influenced by the latter one and aspired to become an actress. After completing high school education Andrea Brooks went on to study at the University of British Columbia where she earned a BA in English Literature and Film Studies. 

She also gained an MA in Film Studies from the same.

Andrea Brooks married her longtime boyfriend on September 15, 2018. She has yet to reveal the name of her husband (rumored to be named Riley) and is reluctant to share pictures of him on social media.

The couple welcomed their child, daughter Viola in November 2019. Also, in November 2022, she announced via social media that she was pregnant with her second child and is due in late 2022. Their son Levon was born on December 17, 2022.

Early Days

Brooks was only 15 years old when she auditioned for the Disney film Ice Princess. Although she did not get the role she did gain an agent. She started her professional career as an actress in 2006- her debut role being in the short film Dysfunction and in an episode of the TV series Saved.

Since then she has starred in films What Goes Up (2009), Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Dear Mr. Gacy (2010), and in the TV series Supernatural (2006), The Troop (2009-2011).

Since 2011, Andrea Brooks has portrayed roles in the films The Company You Keep (2012), No Men Beyond This Point (2015), The Circle (2017), etc. 

Her acting work is most prominent in TV films and TV series. Brooks has had guest roles in an episode(s) of the TV series Primeval New World (2013), Motive (2014), iZombie (2015), Once Upon a Time (2016), Bates Motel (2017), The Flash (2017), among others.

But most of all Andrea Brooks is known for starring in When Calls the Heart as Faith Carter. She has been portraying the role from seasons 2 to 6. Also, she was a recurring cast in seasons 2 to 4 of Supergirl as Eve Teschmacher and was promoted to the main cast in season 5 of the series.
