Early Days
Before Rannells won his first Broadway role, his first role was in Pokémon Live! (2000-2001) as James. He also voiced characters in a number of video games while he worked with 4Kids Entertainment between 2001 and 2004.
He then went on to play roles in a number of regional theater productions such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Miss Saigon, and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
