Arie Luyendyk Jr. is an auto racing driver, reality TV star by profession, and American, Dutch by nationality. He is the son of two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk and is well known for competing in The Bachelorette, The Bachelor.

Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s birth took place on 18 September 1981 in the Netherlands. He was born to his mother Mieke Luyendyk and his father Arie Luyendyk, a two-time Indianapolis 500 winner.
He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings- sister Maida Luyendyk and younger twin brothers Alec Luyendyk and Luca Luyendyk. When he was 3 years old, the family moved to the United States.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. dated Rebecca "Becca" Kufrin, season 22 The Bachelor winner. He and his girlfriend got engaged on the show in the fall of 2017. But he and his girlfriend soon split in January 2018 and Kufrin got engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen.
He began a romantic relationship with fellow The Bachelor contestant Lauren Burnham, who was the runner-up of the show. The couple got engaged on 6 March 2018 and got married to his fiancé on January 12, 2019, in Haiku Mill, Maui, Hawaii.
He and his wife welcomed daughter Alessi Ren Luyendyk on 29 May 2019. In addition, in June 2021, they became parents again after Lauren gave birth to twins- son Lux Jacob Luyendyk and daughter Senna James Luyendyk. They are happy together without rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

Before Fame
Luyendyk began racing karts in 1992, at the age of 11. His passion for racing drove him to race in the Formula Ford competition with the Sports Car Club of America club at the age of 16. He raced in American junior formulae such as the Skip Barber Formula Dodge series, U.S. Formula Ford 2000 Championship.
Professional career
Arie Luyendyk Jr. competed in the Formula Continental class in 2001, finishing in third place.
Since then he has competed in Firestone Indy Lights Series, 2006 Indianapolis 500, 2007-08 A1 Grand Prix season, Stadium Super Trucks series, Traxxas TORC Series, Crandon International Off-Road Raceway, 2018 Stadium Super Trucks season, etc.
He has also worked as the driver analyst for Versus broadcasts of Indy Lights races. Currently, he works as a real estate broker for RE/MAX.

Reality TV star
Arie Luyendyk Jr. competed in the eighth season of the reality show The Bachelorette, starring Emily Maynard. He was placed second in the competition, losing to Jef Holm.
Luyendyk made a comeback in 2017 as a contestant in the 22nd season of The Bachelor. In the season finale of the show, he asked Rebecca "Becca" Kufrin to marry him. Later on, he regretted rejecting Lauren Burnham and tried to rekindle with her.
His other TV appearances include season nine of Hell's Kitchen, the 17th season of The Bachelor, and Wipeout: Summer Episode 7: "Bachelors vs. Bachelorettes".
