Who is Aziz Ansari?
Aziz Ansari is an American-Indian actor, stand-up comedian, writer, director, and producer. The two-time Emmy and one-time Golden Globe winner is best known for portraying the role of Tom Haverford in the series Parks and Recreation and Master of None.
Aziz Ansari – Age, Parents, Siblings
Aziz Ansari was born on February 23, 1983, in Columbia, South Carolina, the U.S. His birth name/ full name is Aziz Ismail Ansari. His family is originally from Tamil Nadu, India, and is Tamil Muslim by religion.
Ansari’s mother’s name is Fatima Ansari, an obstetrician and gynecologist by profession and his father’s name is Shoukath Ansari, who is a gastroenterologist professionally. He is not the only child of his parents and also has a sibling- a brother named Aniz Adam Ansari, who is a writer, editor, and visual artist.
Education, Ethnicity
Ansari was raised in Bennettsville, South Carolina, attended Marlboro Academy, and later on joined South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics. For his further education, he joined the New York University Stern School of Business and earned a degree in marketing there.
His ethnicity is Indian.

Aziz Ansari – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Ansari was in a relationship with Courtney McBroom, a professional chef. They were together for around two years and started dating in 2014. But the couple called it quits by January 2016.
Currently, he is in a serious relationship with Serena Skov Campbell, a Danish physicist. They got engaged in December 2021. The couple married on June 16, 2022.

Early Days
Ansari’s career began with his performance in Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and Invite Them Up, a weekly show. He then went on to co-create Shutterbugs, Illusionators in 2005. Aziz Ansari was then cast in the show Parks and Recreation (2008-2015) alongside Amy Poehler, Aubrey Plaza, Adam Scott, Retta, Nick Offerman, and Rashida Jones.
Other shows in which he has worked are Master of None, Precious, Human Giant, Stunt Kidz. He also made appearances/roles in the HBO series Flight of the Conchords, ABC sitcom Scrubs, Bob's Burgers, including Get Him to the Greek, I Love You, Man, 30 Minutes or Less, Observe and Report, Funny People.

Comedian, Tour
Aziz Ansari has been on tours as a stand-up comedian in the past as well. He did a tour with Comedians of Comedy and Flight of the Conchords in 2006 and 2007. For the next couple of years in 2008 and early 2009, he went on his own comedy tour, the Glow in the Dark Tour. His other tours include Dangerously Delicious (July 2010), and Buried Alive (March 2012).
Ansari’s stand-up special includes Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive, and Aziz Ansari: Live at Madison Square Garden. Both premiered on Netflix. He became the first Indian-American to host the show Saturday Night Live on January 21, 2017.
In addition to being a stand-up comedian and an actor, he is also a writer. His book, Modern Romance: An Investigation, co-written with sociologist Eric Klinenberg, was released on June 16, 2015.

Aziz Ansari – Feminist claims, Sexual misconduct accusation
He has identified himself as a feminist and also said that his now ex-girlfriend was his major influence.
Ansari had said,
"I thought it was interesting that this is happening, yet so many people are unaware of it. And the problem is people aren't talking about it. What I've learned, as a guy, is to just ask women questions and listen to what they have to say. Go to your group of female friends and ask them about times they've experienced sexism at their job, and you'll get blown away by the things they tell you.”
In January 2018, Ansari was accused by a woman who goes by the pseudonym 'Grace' of sexual misconduct in an article on Babe.net. Ansari stated that his encounter with the woman was "by all indications completely consensual.”
The response to the article was a mixed one. Some stated that Ansari’s actions were misogynistic, lacked affirmative consent, and were an example of harmful male expectations. Others supported Ansari stating that his actions were not sexual misconduct!
An article by Caitlin Flanagan in The Atlantic said that the woman accusing Aziz Ansari was a form of 'revenge p**n.'
