Who is Ben Shapiro?

Ben Shapiro is a conservative political commentator, writer, lawyer, and radio talk show host by profession, and American by nationality. He is a columnist at Creators Syndicate, Newsweek, editor-in-chief for The Daily Wire, and host of The Ben Shapiro Show.

Ben Shapiro – Age, Parents, Siblings

Ben Shapiro’s birth took place on January 15, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was born Benjamin Aaron Shapiro to his father David Shapiro, a composer while his mother Michelle Shapiro worked as an executive at a TV company. 

He is not the only of his parents and has three siblings, all sisters. A sister of his is named Abigail Shapiro, who is now an opera singer while the other one is a doctor. Another sister Milly Shapiro is an actress.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Shapiro attended Walter Reed Middle School and then Yeshiva University High School of Los Angeles. He graduated from there at the age of 16 in 2000. He then went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles. 

Ben Shapiro graduated summa cum laude from the same in 2000, at the age of 20, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. In 2007, Shapiro graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and went on to practice law at Goodwin Procter. 

His ethnicity is Ashkenazi-Jewish.

Ben Shapiro – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce

Ben Shapiro married his longtime girlfriend Mor Toledano, a Certified Medical Doctor on 8 July 2008. He and his wife, who is of Moroccan Descent, have two children together. 

Their first child, a daughter named Leeya Eliana Shapiro was born on January 28, 2014, while their son was born on May 6, 2016. Leeya was born with a congenital heart condition and underwent open heart surgery at the Children’s Hospital in L.A. They are also parents to a son (born in 2016) and a younger daughter (born in 2020).

As of now, the couple is happy together and resides in San Diego, California. There have been no rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

Ben Shapiro – Career

As a writer, lawyer

He began his interest in politics at a young age. At the age of 17, he a nationally syndicated column, and by the age of 21, he had published two books, his first being Brainwashed: How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth (2004).

As of 2019, he has written a total of 18 books, The Right Side of History: How Reason and Moral Purpose Made the West Great being the latest one.

In addition, he has worked as a columnist or as an editor at Breitbart News, Creators Syndicate, and Newsweek and co-founded Truth Revolt in 2013, which ran until March 2018. He founded the Daily Wire on September 21, 2015, and currently works as its Editor-In-Chief.

In 2012, he opened an independent legal consultancy firm named Benjamin Shapiro Legal Consulting in Los Angeles.

As a host, lecturer

Over the years, the conservative politician has appeared on Dr. Drew On Call and has hosted The Morning Answer, The Ben Shapiro Election Special. Ben Shapiro’s radio talk show The Ben Shapiro Show aired in 2018.
