He grew up in Hoboken and Little Ferry, New Jersey with four siblings – older sisters Grace, Mary, Maddalena, and Lisa.

Buddy Valastro married his longtime girlfriend Lisa Valastro on 14 October 2001.
With his wife, he has four children – daughter Sofia Valastro (born April 2003), and sons Bartolo Buddy Valastro Jr. (born September 2004), Marco Valastro ( born February 2007), and Carlo Salvatore Valastro ( born February 2011).

Buddy Valastro – Career
Early Career
At the age of 11, Valastro began working at his family's business Carlo's Bakery. After his father’s death in 1994, he took over the family business at the age of 17.
Buddy Valastro’s bakery Carlo's Bakery was featured on TLC’s show Cake Boss. The show was a massive hit, which further increased his bakery’s popularity. With the revenue generated he was able to open 17 more bakeries throughout the United States.
Collab
In June 2014 he started Buddy V's Events, an event planning, and catering company, specializing in a wide range of catering for corporate and family events. He partnered up with Whole Earth Sweetener Co. in 2016 to release a campaign Rethink Sweet and in 2018 worked with The Pound Bakery to redesign and launch a new line of pet treats.
Also in 2018 under the name Buddy Valastro Foods, he released Italian Biscotti cookies and worked with numerous companies to release a line of fondant, buttercream icing.
On TV
Buddy Valastro has also appeared on TV as a host, judge, guest mentor, or as a producer on shows such as Next Great Baker (2010-2014), Buddy's Bakery Rescue (2013-2014), The Apprentice (2015), Buddy's Family Vacation (2016), Bake You Rich (2019-present).
