Caitlin FitzGerald is an actress, filmmaker by profession, and American by nationality. She is well known for starring in the Showtime TV drama Masters of Sex as Libby Masters and in the Starz series Sweetbitter as Simone.

Caitlin FitzGerald was born on August 25, 1983, in Camden, Maine, USA. She was born to father Des FitzGerald, the former CEO of the ContiSea unit of the multinational corporation ContiGroup and the founder of Ducktrap River Fish Farm Inc., and mother Pam Allen, the author of Knitting for Dummies and the founder of the yarn company Quince & Co. 

She is not the only child of her parents and has a sibling, a brother named Ryan Fitzgerald. Her parents divorced when she was a child, and her stepmother is actress Lucinda Ziesing. Her two half-brothers and named Alexander Fitzgerald and Cooper Fitzgerald.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, Caitlin FitzGerald attended Concord Academy in Massachusetts as a boarding student. She went on to study at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. There she studied drama at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She also studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Caitlin FitzGerald began her career as an actress in the late 2000s. Her debut role was in the 2008 film A Jersey Christmas, and an appearance in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2008). This was followed by guest roles in the episode(s) of the TV series Mercy (2009), How to Make It in America (2010), Blue Bloods (2010), Gossip Girl (2011), etc. 

Moreover, she had minor roles in the films Taking Woodstock (2009), It's Complicated (2009), Damsels in Distress (2011), and Newlyweds (2011), among others.

Finally, in 2013, she landed the main role of Libby Masters in the TV series Masters of Sex. She portrayed the character for a total of 46 episodes until 2016.
