Camila Mendes is an actress by profession and American by nationality. Raised by Brazilian parents she speaks fluent Portuguese and is best known for starring in CW’s drama TV series Riverdale as Veronica Lodge.

Camila Mendes’ birth took place on June 29, 1994, in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. She was born Camila Carraro Mendes to her mother Gisele Mendes, a flight attendant, and her father Victor Mendes. Growing up she moved 16 times and lived for a year in Brazil when she was 10 years old.

Camila Mendes’ first acting job was in a commercial for the international furniture brand IKEA. Soon after graduating from NYU she auditioned for a role in Riverdale and was cast in the TV series as Veronica Lodge. This is considered his breakthrough role.

Since her rise to fame, Camila Mendes has starred in movies The New Romantic (2018), The Perfect Date (2019), Coyote Lake (2019), Palm Springs (2020), and Dangerous Lies (2020). She has also voiced Tessa Rose in a 2020 episode of The Simpsons.
