Camila Mendes is an actress by profession and an American by nationality. Raised by Brazilian parents, she speaks fluent Portuguese and is best known for starring in CW’s drama TV series Riverdale as Veronica Lodge.

Camila Mendes’ birth took place on June 29, 1994, in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. She was born Camila Carraro Mendes to her mother, Gisele Mendes, a flight attendant, and her father Victor Mendes. Mendes, a business executive. She is not the only child of her Brazilian parents and has a sibling, an older sister, Kiara Moreno.

Growing up she moved 16 times and lived for a year in Brazil when she was 10 years old.

She went on to study at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, at the same time as her Riverdale co-star Cole Sprouse, but they did not know each other at school. Mendes is also friends with singer Maggie Rogers. She graduated from the same institution in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

Her ethnicity is Brazilian.

Camila Mendes dated Grayson Vaughan from 2020 to 2021.

Camila Mendes’ first acting job was in a commercial for the international furniture brand IKEA. Soon after graduating from NYU, she auditioned for a role in Riverdale and was cast in the TV series as Veronica Lodge. This is considered his breakthrough role.
