Who is Carol Duvall?

Carol Duvall is a TV show host by profession and American by nationality. She is best known as the host of the do-it-yourself show - The Carol Duvall Show on the HGTV Network.

Carol Duvall was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. She moved with her family to Michigan at age 11 and was raised in Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Los Angeles, before finally settling in northern Michigan. Although her exact date of birth is not known she was in the 90s in February 2017.

Other details of her early life including the name of her mother, father, and siblings are yet to be shared with the general public. However, she has revealed that she has a younger brother and her mother passed away early.

Early Days

Duvall began her career as a TV show host in the early 1950s. She was hired to host a children's show in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1951. Within a year, she was doing seventeen live shows a week. 

A change in her professional life came in 1962 when she was hired to work at WWJ-TV in Detroit. For the next 18 years, Carol Duvall fulfilled numerous work positions, ranging from news anchor to co-producer and host of her first craft-oriented. Her first craft-oriented TV program was Here's Carol Duvall.

The Carol Duvall Show

After receiving a call from a man Carol Duvall had met when he was still an intern in Cleveland, they worked together to put on a new show called Home Show. The craft show was picked up by ABC and ran for six years, until its end in 1994. Then host Robb Weller and Gary Grossman developed The Carol Duvall Show. 

The show was a major success and ran from 1994 to 2005 on HGTV then on DIY Network from 2005 to the end of 2009.

Aside from her hosting career, Carol Duvall has authored two books Wanna Make Something Out of It? (1972) and Paper Crafting with Carol Duvall (2007). The DVD Art Unscripted was released in 2008.
