Who is Chase Tang?

Chase Tang is an actor, producer by profession, and Canadian by nationality. The Taiwanese-born actor is currently based in Ontario, Canada, and is best known for starring in the Netflix series Jupiter's Legacy as Baryon.

Chase Tang – Age, Parents, Siblings

Chase Tang’s birth took place on August 24, 1988, in Taipei, Taiwan. He was born Chia-Hao Tang to his mother Shu Wei Chen, a homemaker and an entrepreneur father whose identity has not been revealed. He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings- older brothers named Chung Tang and Chia-Chun Tang.

The family had immigrated to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1992 and was raised there. He played Hockey with the Halifax MacDonald's Hockey Midget Triple 'A' league for two years. His mother converted to a Buddhist nun in 2019 and now lives in a monastery in rural Taiwan.

Following graduation from high school, Chase Tang went on to study at the University of Guelph, Ontario. He graduated from the same with a bachelor's degree in Business. He later took acting classes in May 2016.

His ethnicity is Taiwanese.

Chase Tang – Girlfriend, Wife, Children

Chase Tang has been dating Chinese-Canadian woman Tori Liang for years. He and his girlfriend got engaged to be married in early March 2020. Tang had proposed to her near the Hollywood Sign in California. However, they seemed to have broken up, and their pictures together on social media were removed.

In October 2022, Tang began posting pictures with a mystery woman, who turned out to be his girlfriend. Not much is known about his new relationship.

Also, the actor has yet to marry, take a wife, or have children.

Early Days

Tang worked as a corporate executive and found success in his field of work. However, he decided to leave it all behind so that he could pursue his dream of becoming an actor and working in the movie industry. He joined acting classes in early 2016.

As an actor

Chase Tang began his career as an actor in 2017. His first roles were in the TV series Designated Survivor, Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, Suits, and Kim's Convenience but were uncredited in the last two. He later appeared in short films Time, Space and Lee, and View.

This was followed by his first professional acting gig - in a POM juice commercial. Finally, in 2019, he was cast as a Sexy Young Man in the TV series Slasher: Solstice and in HBO's Run (2020). Chase Tang landed the breakthrough role of Baryon in the 2020 Netflix series Jupiter's Legacy.

He is also known for his philanthropic work, having worked with different charities.
