Hobbs began dancing at the age of 3 and in her youth appeared in over 40 commercials. After minor roles in the TV films Sweet Dreams (1996), and Perfect Body (1997), and in the TV series Pasadena (2001), and The Sausage Factory (2002), she landed the breakthrough role of Gerda in the TV film Snow Queen (2002).
