Who is Chloe Flower?

Chloe Flower is an American composer, writer, producer, and classical pianist who stole the show at Cardi B’s Grammy Performance. She is determined to inspire the younger generation to learn about and play piano.

Chloe Flower – Age, Family, Siblings

Chloe Flower, whose real name is Chloe Won, was born on August 6, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, the U.S.A. She has a sibling- an older sister named Jenni Won but the names of her parents are not known. Her mother is of Korean, and Japanese descent, and her father is also of Asian descent.

The classical musician and composer has been playing piano from a very young age- since she was two years old. She spoke to Cosmopolitan about her first days playing piano,

“I started when I was two, like, sitting on a telephone book. I did my first concert at a nursing home. When I finished, I just remember like, I got up to bow and everyone was asleep. So I feel like now I can take any audience.”

Education, Ethnicity

For education, she attended Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music where she studied under Herbert Stessin and Aaron Shorr respectively.

Her ethnicity is Korean and Japanese.

Chloe Flower – Boyfriend, Husband, Children

Is Chloe Flower married?  No, she is not and is in a relationship with actor Hill Harper. They began dating in 2012 and have been seen attending numerous events together- including in the waters of St. Barts in 2013. 

As of now, the couple has not shared any decisions or news on pregnancy, engagement, or marriage. The couple seems to be deeply committed to each other with no rumors of affairs.

Chloe Flower – Career

Chloe Flower was discovered not so long ago- in 2010. Producer Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds first signed her to Soda Pop, Island Def Jam Records. The same year, she opened the North American tour for Il Volo, an Italian operatic pop trio. 

In 2012 Chloe Flower collaborated with American rapper Nas on his studio album, Life Is Good. Her fame caught on and she soon had a series of collaborations. She worked with Celine Dion’s single from the studio album Loved Me Back to Life in November 2013, with Timbaland in the song Know Bout Me and comedian Mike Epps.

Over the years she has worked with Kevin Hart's Health is Wealth campaign, Nike, Netflix’s Mike Epps: After Dark Special, etc. She has also been featured in 2013’s Make Our Mark global Levis while also having worked in A Ballerina's Tale (2015), Misty Copeland.

Chloe Flower's debut was in July 2015, at a sold-out Walt Disney Hall performance. With Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, she performed Eric Clapton’s Change the World. In February 2019, Chloe Flower’s performance with Cardi B at the 61^st Grammys went viral. She had performed on a glass piano which was on a loan from the Liberace Museum.

In early 2019, she signed a deal with Sony Music Masterworks and will release her forthcoming debut album. Her single Get What U Get was released in June 2019.

Chloe Flower – Philanthropy

Chloe Flower is a human rights activist as well. Since 2006, she has been working with The Somaly Mam Foundation and Organization. The organization focuses on rescuing children aged 3-17 from sex slavery. She works with AFESIP, CAST LA, The United Nations Office of Drug and Crime, and  Art for Amnesty.
