Early Days

DuVall began her career as an actress in the mid-1990s. Her first noticeable role was in the 1996 film Little Witches in which she played Kelsey. This was followed by minor roles in the films The Alarmist (1997), Niagara, Niagara (1997), Girl (1998), Can't Hardly Wait (1998), etc. She also had guest appearances in the episode(s) of the TV series Dangerous Minds (1996), ER (1997), and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), among others.

Finally, in 1998, Clea DuVall landed the role of Stokely "Stokes" Mitchell in the film The Faculty which is considered her breakthrough role.

She has been credited with the films She's All That (1999), Wildflowers (1999), But I'm a Cheerleader (1999), Girl, Interrupted (1999), The Grudge (2004), Passengers (2008), Argo (2012), Heaven's Floor (2016), to name a few.
