Cooke Maroney is an art gallery director by profession and American by nationality. He is currently the director at Gladstone art gallery, located in Edward Durell Stone House in New York City. He rose to fame after begging to date Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence.

Cooke Maroney’s birth took place in 1985 in Middlebury, Vermont, USA. He was born to his father James Maroney, a former art dealer who served as the  Head of American Paintings at Christie's, and his mother Suki Fredericks. His now parents own an Oliver Hill Farm in Leicester, Vermont.

He is not the only child of his parents and his sibling, a sister named Annabelle Maroney. Other personal details such as his family, siblings, and childhood are all kept private.

Cooke Maroney began dating Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence in June 2018. He and his girlfriend met through a mutual friend, Laura Simpson. The couple got engaged in February 2019.

Throughout their relationship, they have been made sure to keep their affair from the public eye as much as possible. 

In May 2019, it was reported that their engagement party was held at the River Café in Brooklyn, New York and the couple rented out the entire restaurant for the party. The party which was held on May 11 was attended by celebrities such as Emma Stone. 

The couple married on October 19, 2019, and have been going strong ever since. He and his wife welcomed a child, a baby boy named Cy Twombly in February 2022.

Maroney has clearly followed in his father’s footsteps with art. Soon after graduation, he worked at the Gagosian gallery. He currently works as the director of New York City's Gladstone art gallery, Gladstone 64. He is known to like contemporary art while being appreciative of modernism.

He has previously worked with famous names including Lena Dunham’s father, painter Carroll Dunham, Björk’s ex-boyfriend, sculptor Matthew Barney, Richard Prince, and Ugo Rondinone, to name a few.
