He was educated at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Corey Stoll also studied drama at Long Lake Camp for the Arts from 1988 to 1992 and graduated from  Oberlin College in 2003. To further his education, he enrolled at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program. He graduated from the same in 2003.

Stoll married his girlfriend Nadia Bowers on June 21, 2015. The pair had dated for years and had gotten engaged in October 2014 prior to tying the knot. Bowers is also an actress and descendant of royals Maximilian de Beauharnais and Joséphine de Beauharnais.

He became a father to their first child, son Nico Stoll, after his wife gave birth in October 2015. There is no news of divorce surrounding the couple.

Early Days

Corey Stoll began his career as an actor soon after college graduation. In 2004, he played Mr. Marks in the theatre play Intimate Apparel opposite Tony Winner and Oscar Winner Viola Davis. The same year, he had guest appearances in the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Charmed, NYPD Blue, etc.

Stoll went on to star in the films North Country (2005), Push (2009), Salt (2010), Midnight in Paris (2011), and in TV series The Unit (2006), NCIS (2006-2007), Law & Order: LA (2010-2011), among others. Finally, in 2013, his role as Rep. Peter Russo in the Netflix series House of Cards gave him a career breakthrough.
