Her debut screen role was in the TV series Prison Break as Gracey Hollander, which she portrayed from 2006 to 2007 for a total of 4 episodes. This was followed by minor roles in the film The Poker House (2008) as Darla, TV movie StarStruck (2010) as Jessica Olson, and in a 2010 episode of the TV series Zeke and Luther as Dani.

Finally, in 2011, Danielle Campbell was cast as Simone Daniels in the Disney movie Prom which is considered her breakthrough role.
