Darren Elkins is a mixed martial artist by profession and American by nationality. He is signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and fights in the Featherweight division.

Darren Elkins’ birth took place on May 16, 1984, in Portage, Indiana, USA. He was born Darren Keith Elkins. He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings, both brothers.

Early Career

Elkins began competing as a wrestler while still a student in high school, having started wrestling at the age of 4. As a freshman in high school, he was placed seventh in the state of Indiana and qualified for the state competition as a sophomore. 

In his junior year, he was placed third and finally was a State Champion as a high school senior.

In UFC

Darren Elkins’ Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut was against Duane Ludwig, whom he defeated via Tko in the second round. Since then he competed in the UFC and won against Michihiro Omigawa (June 11, 2011), Zhang Tiequan (October 8, 2011), Diego Brandão (May 26, 2012), Steven Siler (November 17, 2012), Antonio Carvalho (March 16, 2013), among others.

However, Darren Elkins has lost in a match against Charles Oliveira (August 2010), Chad Mendes (April 20, 2013), and Jeremy Stephens (January 25, 2014), to name a few.
