Who is Duncan Laurence?
Duncan Laurence is a professional singer, songwriter, and Dutch national. He rose to fame in 2014 as a semi-finalist in the fifth season of The Voice of Holland and went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, during which he represented the Netherlands.

Duncan Laurence’s birth took place on 11 April 1994 in Spijkenisse, South Holland, Netherlands. He was born Duncan de Moor to his mother Petra Aguiar Laurentia and his father Cor de Moor.

Early Days
Laurence was still in school when he started playing in a number of brands including The Slick and Suited, his very own band. The band, which was formed in 2013 went on to perform at Eurosonic Noorderslag before leaving its position as a lead singer in March 2016.
Contest, Albums, Singles
In 2014 Duncan Laurence participated in season 5 of The Voice of Holland. He went on to secure a position in the Cross Battles/Semi-Finals but was eventually eliminated.
He was internally selected to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in January 2019. His song Arcade, which he sang in the competition in March 2019 won him the title. His the fifth Dutch national to win the competition.
Although Duncan Laurence is yet to release his debut album, he released his second single Love Don't Hate It on 23 October 2019. He is currently signed with Capitol Records.
