Ethan Slater is an actor, writer by profession, and American by nationality. He is known for his work in the SpongeBob SquarePants musical, the Broadway revival of Spamalot, and the films Wicked and Wicked: Part Two.

Ethan Slater was born on June 2, 1992, in Washington, D.C., USA, as Ethan Samuel Slater. His father, Jay Slater, worked at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and his mother, Ellen Goldmuntz, worked as a lawyer before she passed away when he was seven years old.

He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings – older sisters Sara Slater and Tamara Slater.

For education, Ethan Slater attended the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School and later went to Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC. Following graduation, he enrolled at Vassar College, where he studied drama. He graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama.

Ethan Slater began dating his former high school sweetheart, Lilly Jay, in 2012. After years of a romantic relationship, they married in 2018. He and his wife welcomed their child, a son, in 2022.
