Early Days

Boateng was 19 years old when he began to train to dance, first practicing in his parent’s attic. After competing and winning in several dance competitions, he began to dance for the Kabavil dance theater. With the help of Detlef Soost, he also went on to win the Viva Dancestar talent competition in 2006. Eugene Boateng eventually began working as a dancer in numerous videos for Kool Savas, MIA, Jan Delay, and No Angels.

After working in theater plays Fhlip Fhlop Christoph Winkler and Anja Kozik, and in A Taste Of Ra or Tales of the Funky with Ernest Allan Hausmann, he eventually got into acting.

Boateng’s debut role was in the 2009 TV movie Liebe macht sexy as Tänzer Ugene. This was followed by appearances in appearances of TV series WALF: We All Love Football (2010), Letzte Spur Berlin (2018), Technically Single (2018), The Typist (2018), Der letzte Wille (2020), Tribes of Europa (2021), etc.
