Who is George Stephanopoulos?
George Stephanopoulos is a TV host, political commentator, former Democratic adviser by profession, and American by nationality. He is currently the chief anchor and political correspondent on ABC News, co-anchor of Good Morning America, and host of This Week.
George Stephanopoulos – Bio, Age, Parents, Siblings
George Stephanopoulos’ birth took place on February 10, 1961, in Fall River, Massachusetts, USA. He was born George Robert Stephanopoulos to his mother Nickolitsa "Nikki" Gloria and his father Robert George Stephanopoulos of Greek descent.
He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings- brother Andrew Stephanopoulos and sisters Marguarite Stephanopoulos, and Stacy Stephanopoulos.
Education, Ethnicity
For education, he attended Orange High School where he wrestled competitively. He then joined Columbia University, graduating in 1982 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science summa cum laude. Stephanopoulos then went on to enroll at Balliol College at the University of Oxford from where he graduated in 1984 with a Master of Arts in Theology. In May 2007 he received an Honorary Doctor of Law from St. John's University.
His ethnicity is Greek.

George Stephanopoulos married his girlfriend Alexandra Wentworth on 20 November 2001 after three months of dating. He and his wife have two children together – daughters Elliott Anastasia Stephanopoulos (born on September 9, 2002) and Harper Andrea Stephanopoulos (born on June 2, 2005).
The couple is happy together and is living without rumors of extra-marital affairs or divorce.

Early work
One of the earliest jobs George Stephanopoulos was as an aide to Democratic Congressman Ed Feighan of Ohio. In 1998 he worked on the Michael Dukakis 1988 U.S. presidential campaign. Years later he was a leading member of Bill Clinton's 1992 U.S. presidential campaign.
With ABC
He left the White House at the end of Clinton's first term and joined ABC News as a political analyst as well as a correspondent on This Week, World News Tonight, Good Morning America, etc.
With ABC George Stephanopoulos has hosted This Week (2002-2009, 2011- present), and Good Morning America (2009- present). He became the ABC News chief anchor in 2014 after Diane Sawyer departed from World News.

Other works
He is the founding member of the leadership program The Next Generation Initiative. George Stephanopoulos also had appearances in films The War Room (1993), the TV series Spin City (1996), Friends, House of Cards (2013), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2014), and the show Pawn Stars.
He is also an author and has written three books - All Too Human (1999), Hola poly anthropina (1999), and Chemical Process Control (2001).

He has been embroidered in several controversies including the 1994 real estate loan controversy where it was reported that Stephanopoulos sealed an $835,000 commercial real estate deal from a bank owned by Hugh McColl.
In 1995 George Stephanopoulos was arrested on the charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving with an expired license and license plates. The charge of leaving the scene of an accident was later dropped.
