Hande Erçel began her career as an actress in the early 2010s. She appeared in several short films, while her debut screen role was in the TV series Lovebird (2014) for a total of 17 episodes. This was followed by roles in the TV series Tree of Life (2014) as Selen and in Çilgin Dersane at the University (2014) as Meryem.

Finally, Erçel was cast as Selin Yilmaz in the TV series Girls of the Sun. This is her breakthrough role, appearing in a total of 39 episodes from 2015 to 2016.
