Italia Ricci is an actress by profession and Canadian by nationality. She is best known for portraying the character Emily Rhodes in Designated Survivor, Rome in Love, and Supergirl.

Italia Ricci’s birth took place on October 29, 1986, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. She was born Stephanie Italia Ricci to her mother, Terry Ricci, and her father, Nick Ricci. She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings- younger brothers Vince Ricci and Mike Ricci.

After graduating from high school, Italia Ricci went on to study at the University of Toronto’s law school but left college to pursue a career in acting. So Ricci joined Queen's University.

Ricci made her major debut in acting in 2007’s film American Pie Presents: Beta House as Laura Johnson. This was followed by a recurring role in Disney’s series Aaron Stone (2009) and guest roles in the TV series How I Met Your Mother (2001), House (2009), Secret Girlfriend (2009), Unnatural History (2010), etc.
