Jack Lowden’s birth took place on 2 June 1990 in Chelmsford, Essex, England. Born as Jack Andrew Lowden to father Gordon Lowden and mother Jacquie Lowden, he is not the only child of his parents. His sibling, younger brother Calum Lowden is now a ballet dancer. Both were conceived by IVF treatment.

Early Days
Lowden and his brother were both trained in ballet from a young age. After Jack Lowden grew up liking acting and theatre, he pursued the same. His first professional work was in a television advertisement for Irn-Bru in 2009.
In 2010 he was cast as the lead character Cammy in the National Theatre of Scotland's production of Black Watch. As the production toured in London (Barbican), Glasgow, Aberdeen, New York City, Washington, Chicago, Austin, and Chapel Hill, his recognition grew.

Over the years Jack Lowden has played in the theatre productions of Chariots of Fire (2012), Ghosts (2013-2014), Electra (2014), and Measure for Measure (2018). In TV series he has had a recurring role in The Tunnel (2013) as Adam Roebuck and in miniseries The Passing Bells (2014), War & Peace (2016), etc.
In the last decade, Lowden has worked in films as well. He has starred in the films Tommy's Honour (2016), Dunkirk (2017), England Is Mine (2017), Mary Queen of Scots (2018), Fighting with My Family (2019), and Capone (2020), to name a few.
