Jacob Young was born Jacob Wayne Young on September 10, 1979, in Renton, Washington, USA. His mother’s name is Rhonda Young and his father’s name is Michael Young Sr. His parents raised him in Loveland, Colorado, and Roy, Washington with his three siblings- older brother Michael Young Jr. and sisters Tiffany Young and Charity Applegate.

At the age of 17, he and his mother moved to San Diego, California. Following his parent's divorce, his mother remarried Edward Vasquez.

Early Days

Young began his career in the year 1997, at the age of 17, his debut role being as Rick Forrester in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. He played the character, which gained him profound recognition in Hollywood, until 1999. He was also a series regular in General Hospital (2000-2003) as Lucky Spencer and guest-starred as Dean Torrance in the 2000 episode of The Beach Boys: An American Family.

Finally, in 2003, he was cast as JR Chandler in the TV soap opera All My Children. This is his breakthrough role and Jacob Young portrayed the character for 839 episodes, until 2011.
