Jaimie Alexander is an actress by profession and American by nationality. She is well known for starring in the TV series Kyle XY, Blindspot, and in MCU films Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Love and Thunder as Lady Sif.

Jaimie Alexander’s birth took place on March 12, 1984, in Greenville, South Carolina, USA. Her full name is Jaimie Lauren Tarbush. Her mother’s name is Nita Carol Tarbush and her father’s name is David Curtis Tarbush. Her parents raised her alongside her four siblings- older brothers Chance Tarbush, David Curtis Tarbush Jr., Matt Tarbush, and younger brother Christopher Brady Tarbush.

The family moved to Grapevine, Texas when she was five years old. In grade school, Alexander joined theater but was kicked out of the theater while in high school because she could not sing, so she turned to sports. At the age of 17, she met her manager Randy James.

Jaimie Alexander’s debut role was in the 2004 film Squirrel Trap as Sara. This was followed by appearances episode(s) in the TV series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005), Standoff (2006), and Watch Over Me (2006-2007). Finally, she was cast as the main character Jessi Hollander in season 2 of the science fiction TV series Kyle XY. She portrayed the role for two seasons- from 2007 to 2009- and is her breakthrough role.
