Following a minor appearance as Lu in the 1990 film Kleiner König Erich, she was cast as the lead role Paula Falk in the TV movie Die Cellistin (1998). This was followed by appearances in the films Requiem for a Romantic Woman (1999), The Journey to Kafiristan (2001), Nick Knatterton - Der Film (2002), TKKG: The Secret of the Mysterious Mind Machine (2006), TV series Riding the Storm (1999), Blow Dry (2005-2006), The Eagle (2005-2006), shot films Mensch, Jesus! (1999),
She has also played roles in TV movies Die Westentaschenvenus (2002), Dinner for Two (2003), and Welcome Home (2004), to name a few. Finally, Jeanette Hain was cast as Brigitte in the 2008 film The Reader which is considered her breakthrough role.
