Jermaine Fowler’s birth took place on May 16, 1988, in Washington, D.C., USA. He was born to his mother Marsha and his father Jerome Jackson, who owns a barbershop. He is not the only child of his parents and has three siblings, among which he is the second oldest. His twin brother is named Romeo Fowler. They were raised in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Early Days
Having moved to New York City at a young age, he performed at local open mics in Times Square while he searched for day jobs. In 2012 Jermaine Fowler began touring the country and performing at comedy clubs as well as colleges. He was cast in MTV2's Guy Code in 2013 where he wrote, produced, and starred in his own pilots.
Other comedy shows in which he has worked are Friends of the People (2014), and in 2014 produced and starred in his debut comedy special titled Give 'Em Hell, Kid.

In 2017 Fowler became the CBS sitcom Superior Donuts’ executive producer and star. The show ran for only two seasons. Other shows in which he has worked include Sorry to Bother You (2018), Buffaloed (2019), Coming 2 America (2020), RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race (2020), Untitled Fred Hampton Project, and The Opening Act.
Moreover, he was the announcer of the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
