John Dickerson – Age, Parents, Siblings
The biography of John Dickerson starts with his birth, which was July 6, 1968. He was born John Frederick Dickerson in Washington, D.C., U.S.A. His father is businessman Claude Wyatt Dickerson and his mother Nancy Dickerson (née Hanschman) also worked as a journalist. Perhaps his mother was the one who inspired him to take up journalism later in life.
Dickerson was raised in McLean, Virginia along with four siblings- three sisters and a brother. His sisters are Elizabeth Dickerson, Ann Dickerson, and Jane Dickerson, and his brother’s name is Michael A. Dickerson. Remembering his childhood days spent in bliss, he recalled,
“The house was big enough for my brother and me to have firecracker wars at one end and leave Mom and Dad undisturbed at the other. When firecrackers weren't available, we attacked each other with pennies and marbles and clumps of Crisco, which made brilliant greasy asterisks when you missed and hit the wall.”

John Dickerson is a graduate of Sidwell Friends School, having graduated in 1987. For further education, he studied at the University of Virginia and earned a degree in English with distinction from the same.

Dickerson is a married man. He and Anne McKeehan dated for a long time before finally saying the wedding vows. His wife Anne McKeehan (now Anne Dickerson) used to work as a television producer and a writer. She later founded the 15 Minutes group and now is its chief executive as well.
John Dickerson and his wife Anne Dickerson share two children together- a son and a daughter. Their son’s name is Brice Dickerson while they have named their daughter Nancy Dickerson.
The family loves to keep their private life as far away from the public as possible. So needless to say, they have kept the whole romantic details of their wedding and marriage a secret, including their wedding date which is in 1995.

John Dickerson – Career
Early Days
After graduation, young John Dickerson worked at Time magazine. There he worked with determination and covered politics for a total of 12 years. In the last four years at Time magazine, he was its White House correspondent.
John Dickerson finally took a slight change in his career. He joined Slate and was appointed as its chief political correspondent. There too he worked for a long time before hosting CBS’s Face the Nation three times in 2009.
Having gained more than a decade of work experience, Dickerson was soon appointed CBS’ chief Washington correspondent and Political Director of CBS News in November 2011. On June 7, 2015, John Dickerson took over CBS’s Face the Nation as its host. He held the position for two and a half years before resigning on January 21, 2018.

Currently, he is the co-anchor of CBS This Morning alongside Norah O'Donnell, Gayle King, and Bianna Golodryga.
Over the years, John Dickerson made appearances every Wednesday on The Al Franken Show, as a regular guest on NPR's Day to Day, and on PBS's Washington Week. He has also hosted podcasts such as Slate Political Gabfest with David Plotz and Emily Bazelon while also hosting a Slate podcast, Whistlestop.

John Dickerson – Books, Controversy
John Dickerson is an author too. His book On Her Trail: My Mother, Nancy Dickerson, TV News' First Woman Star, is about his late mother Nancy Dickerson Whitehead, who was a pioneering TV newswoman. Speaking of his late mother, he shared,
“When she died, Mom left me her letters and journals. Windows into things I would have been too young to understand when she was alive, or too busy, or too much of a know-it-all.”
His other book Whistlestop: My Favorite Stories from Presidential Campaign History was published on August 2, 2016.
Dickerson’s co-written Time article, A War on Wilson has been a subject of controversy. The article was published on July 17, 2003, and focused on the leaked identity of CIA agent Valerie Plame to senior Bush administration officials.
