In his adult years, John-Deric Mitchell was a regular dancer on BET Planet Groove in Washington, DC, before eventually moving to New York City to further his career. He worked as a backup dancer for many music artists, toured with artists Lumidee, a head Cheerleading Coach in Brooklyn, NY, Middle and High Schools, among others.
