Fernández’s interest in acting began while still in high school where he had joined his high school theater group. He also took acting workshops outside school and also took piano lessons for nine years.
At the start of his career, Julio Peña Fernández worked in numerous theatre plays such as The Nightmare Before Christmas (2012), Miles gloriosus (2013), Spamolot (2014), Mamma Mia! (2015), and Los Pelópidas (2016). He also honed his acting skills in musical theatre plays Alice in Wonderland (2017), Corpse Bride (2018), and Moulin Rouge (2018).
Films, Series
Finally, he was cast as Manuel Gutiérrez Quemola in the episodes of the TV series BIA. He portrayed the character for a total of 120 episodes from 2019 to 2022 and is considered his breakthrough role.
