Ken Leung is an actor by profession and American by nationality. He is well known for his work in the films Rush Hour, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Joker: Folie à Deux, and the TV series Lost, Industry.

Ken Leung was born on January 21, 1970, in New York City, USA as Kenneth Leung. His mother Kim-Chong Lui was pregnant with him when the family moved to the United States. His father was a Chinese businessman named Wang-Gang Leung. He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling. His young brother David Leung drowned.
He was raised in Two Bridges, Manhattan, and later in Midwood, Brooklyn before settling in Old Bridge, New Jersey.

Early Days
While still a college student, Ken Leung studied with Nan Smithner, Anne Jackson, and Catherine Russell. Meanwhile, he worked in numerous theatres such as Ma-Yi Theater Company, New Perspectives, and STAR.
Leung’s debut screen role was as Barry in the 1995 film Welcome to the Dollhouse. This was followed by roles in the films Pictures of Baby Jane Doe (1995), Red Corner (1997), and in an episode of the TV series New York Undercover (1997), etc.
Finally, Ken Leung was cast as Sang in the film Rush Hour (1998). This is his breakthrough role opposite Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
