Kenny Chesney’s birth took place on March 26, 1968, in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. He was born Kenneth Arnold Chesney to his mother, Karen Chandler, a hairstylist, and his father, David Chesney, a former elementary school teacher. 

He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a younger half-sister named Jennifer Chandler.

For education, Kenny Chesney attended Gibbs High School. After graduation, he went on to study at East Tennessee State University. He graduated from the same in 1990 with a degree in marketing.

Chesney married his longtime girlfriend Renée Zellweger on May 9, 2005. His wife, Zellweger, is a famous Hollywood actress. They did not have any children together.

Since then, he has been reported to have dated Vanessa Millon, Jamie Hill Fuller in 2008, Miss Tennessee 2005 Amy Colley, and was rumored to have an affair with Sara Evans, and ESPN reporter Jenn Brown. In 2012, he was pictured at several awards with a woman named Mary Nolan.

Early Days

Chesney self-released his first demo album in 1989, which sold around 1,000 copies. From the money he earned, he bought a new guitar and moved to Nashville, where he performed at several local clubs. 

In 1992, the aspiring singer was introduced to Troy Tomlinson, who signed him to Opryland Music Group. And just a year later, Kenny Chesney was signed with Capricorn Records. His debut album, In My Wildest Dreams, was released in April 1994 and sold approximately 10,000 copies.

After  Capricorn Records closed down, he signed with BNA Records. With the label, he released his second album, All I Need to Know, in 1995. Two of its songs reached the top 10 while one single peaked at number 23.

Over the years, Kenny Chesney has released 20 studio albums. Some include All I Want for Christmas Is a Real Good Tan (2003), Be as You Are (2005), The Road and the Radio (2006), Lucky Old Sun (2008), Welcome to the Fishbowl (2012), Cosmic Hallelujah (2016), and Songs for the Saints (2018).
