Early Days
Sussman began his career as an actor in 1996. His debut appearance was in an episode of Law & Order’s Custody episode the same year. This was followed by minor roles in the films Liberty Heights (1999), Kissing Jessica Stein (2001), Sweet Home Alabama (2002), Little Black Book (2004), Funny Money (2006), etc.
He also had roles in the TV series Ghost Stories (1998), Third Watch (1999), The Sopranos (2000), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2003), and ER (2004), among others. He also worked in commercials in his early career i.e. around the early to mid-2000s.
Finally, Kevin Sussman landed the role of Walter in the TV series Ugly Betty. He portrayed the character from 2006 to 2007, for a total of 20 episodes. Although this is not considered his breakthrough role, his appearance in the hit series did gain him much core work.

Since 2008, Kevin Sussman has appeared in the films Made of Honor (2008), Killers (2010), and Freeloaders (2012), to name a few. Most of his work is widely recognized in the episodes of the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2008), The Middleman (2008), The Mentalist (2010), Weeds (2012), Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015), etc.
Among all his TV appearances, he is most recognized for playing Stuart Bloom in the sitcom The Big Bang Theory. He was cast in the said role in 2009 as a guest star and his role was later changed to series regular. Sussman played the character until the series ended in 2019- for a total of 84 episodes. Recently, he was cast as Mark Roessler in the TV mini-series The Dropout, which premiered in 2022.
