Who is Kristin Chenoweth?

Kristin Chenoweth is a Tony Award, and Emmy Award-winning actress, and a singer by profession. She is well known for starring in the musical Wicked, and in the TV series The West Wing, Pushing Daisies.

Kristin Chenoweth’s birth took place on July 24, 1968, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA. She was born Kristi Dawn Chenoweth and was adopted by her mother Junie Smith Chenoweth and her father Jerry Morris Chenoweth. 

She was adopted at 5 days old by her adoptive parents, who are both chemical engineers. She also has a sibling, an older brother named Mark Chenoweth.

Education, Ethnicity

For education, she attended Broken Arrow Senior High School. After graduation in 1986, she went on to study at Oklahoma City University. Kristin Chenoweth graduated from the same with a bachelor's degree in musical theatre in 1990 and a master's degree in opera performance in 1992.

Her ethnicity includes European and Cherokee.

Kristin Chenoweth – Boyfriend, Husband, Children, Divorce

Since her rise to Hollywood fame in the early 1990s, Kristin Chenoweth has dated several men including producer Dana Brunetti, actors Seth Green, and Lane Garrison, and producer/writer Aaron Sorkin. She was also engaged to actor Marc Kudisch from 1998 to 2001.

Kristin Chenoweth has also been in a romantic relationship with Lane Garrison (2006), and Charlie McDowell (April 2008-February 2009).

Currently, she is in a relationship with Josh Bryant. The couple got engaged in October 2021 but in July 2022, their wedding was reported to have been postponed.

She has never married and is sans husband or children. As she has never tied the knot, divorce is out of context.

Early Career

Chenoweth began to perform gospel songs for local churches at a young age. While a student she participated in school plays and while at OCU, she competed in beauty pageants. Kristin Chenoweth went on to win the title of Miss OCU and was placed as the second runner-up in the 1991 Miss Oklahoma.

Since starting her career in 1991 Kristin Chenoweth has portrayed characters in over two dozen films including Bewitched (2005), Deck the Halls (2006), Into Temptation (2009), The Opposite Sex (2014), Hard Sell (2016), Descendants (2015) Holidate. 

Chenoweth also has starred in TV series/shows Kristin (2001), Glee, The West Wing (2004-2006), Pushing Daisies (2007-2009), Hairspray Live! (2016), Trial & Error (2018), and Christmas Love Story (2019), to name a few.

Kristin Chenoweth is also famous for her work with a Broadway show. She has portrayed roles in the Theatre production of Steel Pier (1997), Wicked (2003), Promises, Promises (2010), and For The Girls (2019), among others.
