Who is Kyle Hendricks?

Kyle Hendricks is a baseball player by profession and American by nationality. He is a baseball pitcher for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Kyle Hendricks’ birth took place on December 7, 1989, in Newport Beach, California, USA. He was born Kyle Christian Hendricks to his mother Ann Marie Hendricks, a medical management consultant, and his father John Hendricks, a golf pro. 

He is not the only child of his parents and has a younger sibling, sister Tori Hendricks.

Early Career

Hendricks began playing baseball at a young age, After completing high school, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the 39th round of the 2008 MLB draft. However, he did not sign up and chose to attend Dartmouth College.

At college, Kyle Hendricks played college baseball for Dartmouth Big Green.

Professional Games

In the 2011 MLB draft, Hendricks was selected by the Texas Rangers. With the Rangers, he played with Spokane Indians of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League. He also played minor leagues with Tennessee Smokies, Iowa Cubs, etc.

With the Chicago Cubs, Kyle Hendricks made his Major League Baseball debut on July 10, 2014. With the team, from 2014 to 2019, he has played against Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Indians, and Colorado Rockies, among others.
