Early Days

Following college graduation, Ólafsson went on to work at numerous theatres. He worked in the National Theatre of Iceland, and the City Theatre of Reykjavik, and also co-founded Vesturport Theatre. He gained international fame when he was cast in the series Trapped (2015-2019) as Andri Ólafsson.

Since starting his career in the late 1990s, he has appeared in Pearls and Swine (1997), Beowulf & Grendel (2005), White Night Wedding (2008), Undercurrent (2010), The Deep (2012), A Walk Among the Tombstones (2014), Zoolander 2 (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019), Murder Mystery (2019), The Woman in the Window (2020), etc.
