Who is Laine Hardy?
Laine Hardy is a singer and songwriter by profession and American by nationality. He is best known as a contestant on season 16 and season 17 of American Idol.
Laine Hardy – Age, Parents, Siblings
Laine Hardy’s birth took place on September 12, 2000, in Livingston, Louisiana, USA. He was born to his mother Cindy Lau Hardy, a real estate agent, and his father Barry Hardy, a successful general contractor for BDH Construction LLC.
He is not the only child of his parents and has two siblings, an older brother named Kyle Hardy, who surprised him at the 2018 American Idol auditions, and an older sister Brittany Hardy. Before the age of 10, he got in a dirt bike accident that damaged his front teeth.
Education, Ethnicity
Laine Hardy attended French Settlement High School and graduated from the same in 2018. His ethnicity includes Caucasian from his father's side and part Asian (quarter) from his mother's side. He shared on Twitter that his grandmother is Korean.

Laine Hardy – Girlfriend, Wife, Children
The young singer Hardy is not a single man. He is certainly not married and sans wife, or children. As he has never married, divorce is out of context. Laine Hardy was in a relationship with his high school sweetheart Sydney Becnel and loves to feature his girlfriend on social media.
Currently, he is in a relationship with his girlfriend Grace Lee.

Before Fame
Laine Hardy started playing guitar at the age of 7. Later on, he trained with local musician, Jody Mayeux at the age of 12. He also started a group titled The Band Hardy in 2016.

In American Idol
Laine Hardy first came to light when he competed in season 16 of American Idol. In the 2018 season, he reached the top 50 but was sadly eliminated in the next round.
Although he had not gone on to win the competition, he was a fan favorite. Judge Katy Perry had requested him to come back on the show the season.

Already having worked harder than before, Hardy joined the competition in season 17 of the talent show. He auditioned with the single The Weight by The Band. But he was not on the show to compete but rather was there to support his friend Ashton Gill.
However, the judges convinced him to enter the competition, which Laine Hardy gladly agreed to. With his performance, he has been able to reach the top 10 in the competition, alongside fellow competitors Alejandro Aranda and Madison Vandenburg.
On May 19, 2019, Laine Hardy has crowned the winner of 2019's American idol. Since then he has started to tour across the country.
