Lais Ribeiro gave birth to a son Alexandre on 17 May 2008, at the age of 17. She raised her son as a single teen mother and nothing is known about the father of her son. She revealed in July 2018 that her son had been diagnosed with autism 5 years ago.

In 2014, she was in a relationship with American basketball player Jared Homan. But the couple soon broke up.

She began dating American NBA player Joakim Noah in September 2018. After a year of dating, she got engaged to her boyfriend on September 8, 2019. Noah had surprised her with the proposal at the burning man. The couple married on July 13, 2022.

Early Career

Ribeiro was in nursing school before she started a career in modeling. A year after she gave to her son Alexandre, she took her friend’s advice and started to model in Brazil in 2009. Her personality, hard work, and physique rewarded her with success and Lais Ribeiro soon was walking in major international fashion shows.

Career takes off

In 2009, she worked with designers including Shiatzy Chen, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, and Marc Jacobs. In 2011 Lais Ribeiro was the most booked runway model with 27 shows during São Paulo Fashion Week and 26 shows during Rio Fashion Week.

Since 2010, she has run the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2010, 2011, 2013 through 2018. She could not work in the 2012  Victoria's Secret Fashion Show due to a severely sprained ankle, which occurred during the rehearsals. 

Ribeiro joined the Victoria's Secret Angels on April 2015. Lais Ribeiro had had the honor to wear Champagne Nights Fantasy Bra, a $2 million dollar bra for the 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show held in Shanghai, China.

She has been managed by numerous agencies including Women Management, Next Model Management, Munich Models, Mega Model Agency, etc.
