Chorostecki’s debut role was in an episode of the TV series Doc (2004). This was followed by appearances in the episode(s) of the TV series The Listener (2009), Dan for Mayor (2010), Camelot (2011), Copper (2012-2013), etc. Meanwhile, she also starred in the films Antiviral (2012), Please Kill Mr. Know It All (2012), and TV films Charlie & Me (2008), and The 19th Wife (2010), among others.

Finally, in 2013 Lara Jean Chorostecki was cast as Freddie Lounds in the TV series Hannibal. She portrayed the character for a total of 13 episodes, until 2015, and is her breakthrough work.

Since then she has appeared in the TV series X Company (2015-2017), Designated Survivor (2016-2017), Killjoys (2018), and The Expanse (2020).  Her other film credits include The Masked Saint (2016), Hammer (2019), etc.
