Lauren Holly’s birth took place on October 28, 1963, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, USA. She was born as Lauren Michael Holly to father Grant Holly, a screenwriter, and professor of literature at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and mother Michael Ann Holly, an art historian, Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute’s Starr Director of Research and Academic Program, and former professor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings- younger brothers Nick Holly and Alexander Innes Holly (July 1977– April 1992). Alexander was killed in a fire.

Growing up in Geneva, New York, Lauren Holly graduated from Geneva High School, where she was a cheerleader. She went on to study at Sarah Lawrence College, earning an undergraduate degree in English.

Lauren Holly has been married and divorced three times. Her first husband is Danny Quinn whom she tied the knot in 1991. This marriage was short-lived and the pair finalized their divorce in 1993.
She went on to date actor Jim Carrey and got married to her boyfriend on 23 September 1996. It lasted only a year and their divorce was finalized on 29 July 1997. They did not have any children together.
Holly’s third husband was Francis Greco. Their wedding had taken place on 10 March 2001 and ended in 2014. Although the couple was married for more than 12 years, they did not have any biological children together. But they did adopt three sons -Alexander Joseph Greco (born April 21, 2001), George Greco (born August 2, 2003), and Henry Greco (born December 2, 2004).
She is currently in a relationship with Jerome Ruffin and resides together in Toronto.

Early Days
Holly started her professional career as an actress at the age of 20. Her debut role was as Carla Walicki in two episodes of Hill Street Blues (1984). This was followed by roles in the TV series Spenser: For Hire (1986) and in the films Seven Minutes in Heaven (1985), and Band of the Hand (1986).
Finally, in 1986 Lauren Holly was cast as Julie Chandler in the series All My Children (1986-1989) for which she earned a nomination for 1988’s Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.

Over the years Lauren Holly has starred in dozens of TV series as well as movies. In recent years Holly has worked with Hallmark Channel in the TV films A Country Wedding (2015), My Summer Prince (2016), etc.
