Lee Westwood’s birth took place on 24 April 1973 in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England. He was born Lee John Westwood to his father, John Westwood, a mathematics teacher, and his mother, Trish Westwood.
In February 2012, his mother made him apologize publicly for swearing on TV in the final round of the Dubai Desert Classic tournament. He was raised by his parents alongside his younger sibling, her sister Yolanda.

Their elder child, son Samuel Bevan Westwood, was born on April 12, 2001, while daughter Poppy Grace Westwood was born a few years later. However, the couple could no longer stay together and divorced in 2015 after cheating allegations from Coltart.
Soon after his separation in 2015, he started dating Helen Storey. The couple announced their engagement via social media on February 17, 2019. Their plans to marry in August 2019 were postponed. They finally tied the knot on June 12, 2021, in Las Vegas.

Lee Westwood – Career
Westwood began playing golf at the age of 13 with a half set bought by his grandparents. His father also encouraged him to play and even took up the game himself.
Lee Westwood won his first professional tournament, the Volvo Scandinavian Masters, in 1996. In addition to winning 23 events on the European Tour, he has won tournaments in North America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. In 2000, he was ranked first on the European Order of Merit.
After taking a break following the birth of his son in 2001, he returned to golf in 2003. In 2007, he won the Valle Romano Open de Andalucía and the Quinn Direct British Masters.

He has also competed in the 2006 Open and the PGA Championship, the 2010 Masters Tournament, the 2010 Open Championship, the 2011 BMW PGA Championship, the Thailand Golf Championship, the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, etc, and has won in the 2009 Dubai World Championship, among others.
On 31 October 2010, Westwood became the World's number-one golfer, ending the reign of Tiger Woods and remaining so for 17 weeks. He was replaced by Martin Kaymer.
