Initially, Lewis Hilsenteger used to work at a repair store in Toronto called iUpgrade. So to help the customers with various computer issues, he made and uploaded some tutorials to YouTube. With a positive response from the viewers, he was encouraged to open a professional YouTube channel.

In December 2010, Lewis opened a YouTube channel “UnboxTherapy”. His channel is heaven for tech lovers.

In his YouTube videos, Lewis unboxes the latest gadgets, Bluetooth speakers, Smartphones, etc. And along with the unboxing, his expertise on these products is much appreciated by the viewers.

As his popularity grew, more companies wanted to sponsor him.

Lewis Hilsenteger also has a second YouTube channel, ‘MORE TOP 5’ which he opened in 2014. Although he does not use this channel anymore, he still has over 387k subscribers.

iPhone 6 Plus review

In September 2014 he uploaded a video titled "iPhone 6 Plus Bend Test".

In the video, he bent the newly released iPhone 6 Plus and bent it with his bare hands! His action was based on the fact that people were complaining their iPhone 6 Plus was bending in their pockets!

There was a huge controversy surrounding the video. People assumed that the video was not authentic and was heavily edited. So to prove his fact, Lewis then uploaded the uncut version of the video which clearly showed the weak point of the iPhone 6 Plus.

Following the video, Apple Company confessed that the phone had a weakness and made the necessary changes to strengthen the smartphone while also offering a replacement for the iPhone 6 Plus customers.
