Early Days
Since starting her career in 2000, Lyndsy Fonseca landed her debut role as Colleen Carlton in the TV series The Young and the Restless. She portrayed the character until 2005. During this time she also had guest appearances on the TV series Malcolm in the Middle (2004), NYPD Blue (2004), and Switched! (2004).
Moreover, in the year 2005, she starred in three TV films - I Do, They Don't, Ordinary Miracles, and Cyber Seduction: His Secret Life. Finally, in 2005 Fonseca was cast as the recurring character Penny Mosby in the TV series How I Met Your Mother. All 65 episodes in which she starred were filmed between 2005 and 2007 but the airing took place from 2005 to 2014.
